Home Remedies for Insomnia


How to treat insomnia with home remedies

One of the most known remedies for insomnia is to drink milk. Before you go to bed you should drink warm cup of milk with some honey, this should do the work.

If you don’t like to drink milk you can also make the same remedy with apple cider vinegar. You just need to mix some of the apple cider vinegar with honey and drink when you can fall asleep.

Warm bath or warm shower will calm your body and will help you fall asleep faster. You can add some essential oils to the bath, chamomile or lavender are good for soothing the body and therefore can assist also. Sit in the bathtub for about 20 – 30 minutes and rest, try to relax.

Onion can help you with insomnia. You should add onion to your daily diet, you should eat the onion raw; you can add it to a salad or a sandwich. If you really don’t like onion you can just stick it in a piece of bun or any bread you like, that way you won't feel the taste. If that doesn’t help either, you can just choose another remedy from the ones suggested here.

Drink a warm cup of tea before you go to bed, you can drink any tea you like but chamomile tea is known to calm the body and mind so might have a better effect.
