Home Remedies for Eye Infection

One of the most known home remedies for Eye infection is tea. All you have to do is make a cup of regular tea, let it cool for a bit. Once lukewarm, dip a cotton wool in the tea, squeeze the liquid and apply on your eye. Lie down with the cotton wool on your eye for a few minutes, you can reapply the tea on the cotton wool if you want to. You should repeat this a few times a day until you see an improvement.

There are a few vegetable that are very beneficial when it comes to eye infection and irritation. Tomato is one of them. In order to prevent eye problems you should add tomatoes to your daily diet.

When your eyes are sore and irritate you can take a fresh cucumber, cut 2 round slices, lie down, close your eyes and apply the round slices of cucumber on your closed eyes. This will help to relax the swelling and irritation.

Irritated eyes from dirt or makeup, can be cleaned with simple eye drops or with clean or even mineral water. This will help to get the dirt out of the eyes. If the irritation doesn’t stop, consult your doctor since the dirt might have hurt your eye and you will need further treatment.

Carrot is the most known remedy for eye care. Add carrot to your daily consumption to prevent eyes problems and help your eye sight. Careful, too much carrot can affect the color of your skin and turn it a little orange.
